Sydney: One of Australia's most successful captains, Alyssa Healy, has decided to retire from all formats of cricket after the home series against India. The 35-year-old star player says it's the perfect time for her to leave the game. Alyssa Healy's 16-year-long career has been filled with successes. She started her international journey in 2010, scoring over 7,000 runs in 295 international matches and making a record 275 dismissals behind the wicket.

Alyssa Healy took over the team's permanent leadership in 2023. She is the wife of Australia's renowned fast bowler Mitchell Starc, and the couple holds a unique position in the cricket world. Explaining her decision, Alyssa Healy said, "I still have the passion to play for Australia, but maybe the hunger for competition has decreased a bit. So, I've made this decision with mixed emotions."

She will not be part of the upcoming T20 series against India. She will end her career by playing ODI and Test matches against India at her home grounds.
