In the important meeting held in New Delhi, various issues related to the mining sector of Bihar were discussed in detail including e-auction of mineral blocks, mineral exploration, modern techniques and protection of the interests of farmers in Pirpinti coal block. The meeting was attended by Union Coal and Mining Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Coal and Mining Satish Chandra Dubey, Bihar Minister of Mines and Geology Dr. Pramod Kumar, Secretary to the Ministry of Mines Keshav Chandra and Bihar. Avinash Kumar Singh, secretary of the Department of Mining and Geology, was present. The meeting deliberated on the strategy to promote the state's income, employment and economic activities through mining through scientific and transparent utilization of mineral resources in Bihar, e-auction of mineral blocks, mineral survey and exploration. Dr. Pramod Kumar made it clear that the interest of farmers and land owners will be fully protected regarding the Pirpinthi coal block. He said that for this purpose, the possibilities of underground mining are being seriously considered, so that farmers do not lose their land due to mining. It has been decided to organize a road show in Bihar to attract potential bidders towards this advanced technology and make them aware of its technical aspects and possibilities. Dr. Pramod Kumar said that Bihar's mineral resources can become a strong base for the economic development of the state. It is the government's priority to use the mineral wealth in a scientific, environmentally friendly and transparent manner, so as to increase the state revenue and also promote employment opportunities and economic activities at the local level. He said that with the support of the central government, new opportunities for development in the mining sector of Bihar will be realized by promoting modern technology, better mineral exploration and transparent auction system. went Its aim is to speed up exploration activities by conducting a scientific assessment of the potential of mineral resources in the state. Apart from this, a detailed discussion was also held regarding e-auction of mineral blocks of large minerals in Bihar through Unified Mining Portal.
