Program on Startup Funding, Growth and Market Access at the Startup Bihar Stakeholder Dialogue

Patna, August 24 (ABN): With an aim to further strengthen the startup ecosystem of Bihar and develop a support system as per the needs of startups, the Department of Industries organized the Startup Bihar Stakeholder Dialogue on Monday. Bank representatives, startup sales, incubation centers, investors and various startups actively participated in the program. Topics such as funding, access to capital markets, SME listing, investor preparation, technology, incubation, and banking support were discussed.
Mr. Aman Samir, Director, MSME, said that necessary guidance and institutional support is being provided from the initial stage to scale-up to strengthen the startup and MSME ecosystem, so that innovative ideas can be transformed into sustainable enterprises. Our aim is to enable as many youth as possible to transform their ideas into successful start-ups and create new employment opportunities and economic opportunities in the state.
Director Industries Mukul Kumar Gupta said that the Department of Industries is continuously striving to develop a strong and efficient startup ecosystem in Bihar. Our aim is not only to provide financial assistance to start-ups but also to provide better technical, institutional and market support. The assessment process is being made AI-based, which will reduce human intervention and save around 15-20 days of time. Our aim is to provide quick, transparent and efficient support to startups.
In the programme, Deputy Manager of BASE Patna Region, Mr. Gagan Kumar Singh, Director of CIMP, Dr. Rana Singh, Director, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Director of STPI; Mr. Joseph Paul General Manager IITP, Mr. Vijay Prakash Chairman-cum-CEO, AIC Bihar Vidya Peth Foundation representatives shared their views on topics related to capital markets, incubation, technology, and startup growth.
During the event, startups with outstanding achievements in various sectors were felicitated, including Road Express Technologies Pvt Ltd and Ved Prabha Aerospace Pvt Ltd for three consecutive years of outstanding and consistent revenue growth. The event concluded with an interactive session with startups, bank representatives, incubation centers, startup sales and investors, discussing the needs, challenges and suggestions of startups.
