Congress MP Shashi Tharoor met Kharge and Rahul Gandhi and said all is well
Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor met party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday. Tharoor termed the meeting at Kharge's office in Parliament House as very fruitful and positive. He said everything is fine and we are all moving forward together. The meeting lasted over half an hour. After the meeting, Tharoor shared a picture on social media platform X, saying, "Thanks to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi. Today, we had a warm and constructive conversation on many issues. We are all on the same platform and moving forward together to serve the people of India."
Later, while talking to journalists in the Parliament House complex, Tharoor, while ruling out any claim for the chief minister's post in the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections, said it was never an issue for him. In response to a question from journalists, he said there is nothing unusual about meeting his own party leaders. Tharoor said his focus is on serving the people of Thiruvananthapuram and protecting their interests in Parliament. All leaders in the Congress party are united and future strategy will be decided together.
