Guwahati, March 15 (Agency). Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday, at the "Yuva Shakti Samaroh" organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at the Veterinary College sports ground in Khanapara, Guwahati, accused the Congress party of shielding infiltrators in the state and appealed to vote for the BJP for the development of the state. The Home Minister made the appeal while addressing more than 1.5 lakh youths in the state on Sunday.

BJYM National President Tejasvi Surya was also present at the event. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP President and Member of Parliament from Darrang-Adalaguri constituency Dilip Saikia, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, and several other state BJP leaders, ministers, MPs, and MLAs were also present.

Through this program of BJYM, young voters from every district of the state raised the slogan of BJP's electoral battle. This Yuva Shakti Samaroh was organized to strengthen the resolve of the youth power in the journey of development and progress of Assam. Addressing the event, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that this grand gathering of Assam's youth power has presented a strong picture of the BJP's public support in the state.

He mentioned that a few days ago, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had called him and invited him to participate in the youth conference. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that no political party in India has been able to organize such a large youth conference. He thanked the youths of Assam from the bottom of his heart.

Shah said that under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma, the development process is ongoing in Assam. Shah claimed that the Assam government has provided around 165,000 jobs without any discrimination, which is a significant step in the state's history.

Addressing the event, he severely criticized the Congress party. He said that during the Congress rule, the wage of tea garden workers was Rs 94. During the BJP rule, the Himanta Biswa Sarma government increased it to Rs 280. The Congress thinks about its people, while the BJP thinks about Assam. According to the Home Minister, during the Congress rule, the language and culture (jati, mati, and bheti) of Assam were not respected. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the glory of historical hero Lachit Barphukan has been presented to the world in bright light.

Amit Shah said that during the BJP government, around 10,800 armed cadres have laid down their arms, resulting in peace and discipline being strengthened in the state. He claimed that a large amount of land occupied by infiltrators has been freed and this campaign will continue in the future.

The Union Home Minister launched a scathing attack on the Congress party over the issue of illegal infiltration in the state, saying that every infiltrator will be driven out under the next BJP government. He also termed the Congress party as the protector of infiltrators.

He said that Rahul Gandhi cannot say anything in Parliament, he keeps running away, and where people from all over the world come to see the power of India, Rahul Gandhi protests. The India-Africa summit was praised all over the world, but the Congress protested against it. By opposing Modi and the BJP, Rahul Gandhi has started opposing India. Amit Shah condemned Rahul Gandhi's act. He said that by opposing the BJP, Rahul Gandhi has started criticizing the country.

In the end, he again appealed to the people of Assam to form a BJP government and said that this government will stand by its promise of development and transparency.
