Government is scared, it stops me from speaking like General Naravane: Rahul Gandhi
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said on Monday that he wanted to say some things written by former army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane on national security in the Lok Sabha, but the government is afraid and not allowing him to speak in Parliament.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi told journalists in the Parliament House complex, "I am not being allowed to speak. I just want to say 2-3 lines. This is a matter of national security. These are the words of the former army chief. These are quotes from his conversation with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I want to say in the House what the former army chief has written and what instructions Mr. Rajnath Singh and Mr. Modi gave him at that time. I want to say this in Parliament, but I don't know why they are afraid."
He said, "I want to speak in Parliament, but I don't know why they are afraid. What the Prime Minister and Defense Minister said at that time is the truth. The country's leader should not run away from making a decision, and in this situation, the decision should not be left to the army or anyone else."
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also attacked the Modi government on the same issue in the Parliament House complex, saying, "They are afraid of one line. There is one line that both Prime Minister Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are afraid of.
