RSS decides to increase focus on youth and women

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti President Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated that she is the voice of the people of Telangana and there is no one to control or operate her. Addressing a press conference under the Jagruti Janma Bata program in Bhongir, Kavitha clarified that she intends to participate in the 2029 elections and is fully prepared for it.
She said that she has not been told why she was suspended from the BRS, despite the fact that even a person sentenced to death is given a reason. She said that the party did not ask her for any explanation and she cannot compromise on her self-respect in any way.
Kavitha acknowledged that the mistakes made during the BRS regime are also her moral responsibility, as she was part of the party at that time, particularly with regards to the excesses committed against farmers in Bhongir. She apologized to the public for this.
She said that she was politically restricted to Nizamabad, but despite this, she has been active among the people through the Telangana Jagruti platform for 19 years. Jagruti is not an organization formed as a result of any political differences, but has been struggling for the global recognition of Telangana's language, culture, Batukamma, and Bonalu festivals.
Kavitha severely criticized the Congress government, saying that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is cheating poor students by not paying fee reimbursement. She said that despite repeatedly questioning the government in the assembly and council, promises were not fulfilled, students are being humiliated in colleges, and education is not a priority for the government.
She said that she had struggled in Parliament for the establishment of the first Brown Field AIIMS in Telangana, but even today, emergency medicines are not available in Bhongir AIIMS, despite the center releasing Rs 750 crore since 2015.
Kavitha demanded that Minister KTR should talk to contractors and complete the construction of buildings, and provide 80% of jobs to local people. Regarding the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, she alleged that the lands of the poor are being sacrificed to save the lands of influential people, and alignments are being changed repeatedly due to corruption, despite High Court orders to the contrary.
She said that Jagruti will start an agitation on this issue and will hold a round-table meeting with affected farmers in Hyderabad on January 5. Kavitha alleged that both the Congress and BRS governments have not done justice to farmers, handloom weavers, goldsmiths, homeless people, and landless farmers.
The handloom weavers of Pochampalli have not been given financial assistance and loan waivers as promised, while a demand was made to release Rs 50 crore immediately. Kavitha said that despite acquiring thousands of acres of land under the Baswa Pur and Pranahita-Chevella projects, not a single drop of water has been provided to date, and the affected people have not been given full compensation, while 96 acres of land were taken without any compensation, which is unacceptable in a democracy.
She alleged that the current Chief Minister is secretly in league with the BJP, and rivers and natural resources are being polluted in the name of industrial permissions, just like the Musi River was destroyed in the past.
Telangana Jagruti President clarified that Jagruti will continue to struggle for the solution of people's problems, not for votes, and will follow up on the issues of each district with a strong cadre.
