India secured a spot in the semi-finals by defeating West Indies by five wickets in the last thrilling match of the T20 World Cup Super Eight on Sunday, where they will face England on March 5. The Indian team, which batted to chase the target, did not have a good start, however, the actual hero of the match, Sanju Samson's aggressive and responsible innings, took control of the team.

While wickets continued to fall on one side, Sanju Samson stood firm like a rock, facing the West Indies bowlers without any pressure, and did not let the pace of runs on the scoreboard slow down, playing a key role in India's victory. Sanju scored a brilliant 97 runs off 50 balls, including 12 fours and four sixes, remaining not out and leading the team to victory.

Opener Abhishek Sharma scored five runs in the first over, where Akeel Hussain's over did not see any boundary. In the second over, Matthew Forde's bouncer hit Abhishek's helmet, after which the game was stopped for a while and the physios examined him.

On the last ball of the third over, Akeel Hussain got Abhishek Sharma out. Abhishek tried to hit a six on the back-of-length ball but the ball went high in the air and Shimron Hetmyer caught it. In this over, Sanju Samson hit two sixes, giving pace to the team's score, and a total of 17 runs were scored.
