Patna, October 9 (ABN) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress and the INDIA alliance of lacking a clear policy and a concrete agenda for the development of Bihar. Furthermore, the opposition parties are spreading misconceptions regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar Sharma stated that Congress meetings have remained limited to displays and showmanship, while internal tugs of war over seat distribution and leadership have fragmented the entire INDIA alliance. He dismissed the misconceptions being spread by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) as baseless, stating that the opposition is politicizing a constitutional process.
Mr. Sharma said that Congress no longer has a clear policy or an organizational structure that appears strong before the public. Its meetings have become a means of display and showmanship rather than a platform for review and decision-making. This is the state of the entire INDIA alliance, where there is ongoing tussling over seat distribution, indecision regarding leadership, and a continuous exchange of accusations among allied parties. The alliance has neither a common agenda nor a common resolve.
The BJP spokesperson said that in contrast, the meetings of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are held with solid objectives. They involve reviewing the organization, coordinating among members, and discussing decisions related to public interest. NDA allied parties work together at both the government and organizational levels. Bihar also needs such unity and coordination so that development projects can be effectively implemented on the ground.
The BJP leader raised questions about the internal situation of Congress, stating that internal differences are so deep that no one is willing to listen to the other. The party lacks stable leadership and a clear direction. He also questioned the leadership capabilities of Rahul Gandhi, stating that the lack of resolve and harmony in the top leadership affects the entire organization. Mr. Sharma said that the purpose of the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll is to keep the voter list clean and up-to-date, so that the names of eligible voters remain in the list and ineligible or fictitious entries can be removed in accordance with the rules. He accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress of trying to create an atmosphere of misconception and fear among people regarding this process. According to him, by questioning the constitutional process carried out under the rules, the opposition is only trying to gain political advantage.
The BJP spokesperson said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is working together on matters of development, peace and law and order, employment, and public welfare in Bihar. The alliance has made decisions in these sectors with coordination and has tried to implement them. He claimed that the public's trust in the NDA is the result of this unity and commitment to development.
He said that Bihar needs a government and an organization that work together and prioritize the state's development, rather than showy politics and an alliance based on rumors. According to the BJP, the NDA is moving forward in this direction.
