Complaint registration made easy via toll-free numbers and WhatsApp

The Public Health Engineering Department's complaint redressal system is playing an effective role in providing regular drinking water to rural families under the Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal scheme and in the direction of immediate resolution of water supply-related issues in Bihar.

According to departmental data, 98.95 percent of complaints received from August 15, 2025, to November 02, 2026, have been resolved. Meanwhile, 99.99 percent of complaints received from August 15, 2025, to March 31, 2026, have been resolved. Similarly, 98.4 percent of complaints received from April 1, 2026, to November 02, 2026, have been resolved. The department is working with full diligence to resolve the remaining complaints.

Public Health Engineering Department Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh has issued clear instructions that the department take immediate action to resolve the remaining complaints. Along with this, he has directed that action be taken against the concerned officials and engineers if any negligence is found in the resolution of complaints related to "Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal".

For the convenience of common citizens, the department has launched toll-free numbers 18001231121, 155367, and 18003451121. Complaints can be registered on these numbers from 6 AM to 10 PM. In addition, complainants on WhatsApp - 8544429024 will have to provide the ward number, village, panchayat, block, district, name, mobile number, and type of complaint. A system for registering complaints has also been established via email - [email protected], the Nal Jal complaint app, and the website www.phedcgrc.bihar.gov.in.

The Minister said that the Public Health Engineering Department is continuously working to ensure the availability of clean drinking water to every rural family. He said that the department's sole objective is to ensure uninterrupted and continuous water supply to all people of Bihar.
