Mumbai: This is a story of courage and determination that proves physical disability cannot be a hindrance when there is a passion for dreams and hard work in the heart. Mazhar Nakha, a resident of Antop Hill area, European Compound, Mumbai, has not only shaped his life despite 55 percent disability but has also guided his children towards higher education and success, setting a shining example. His daughter, Arabia Mazhar Nakha, has recently achieved a brilliant success in the Cardiologist Technician course with a first-class degree, making the entire family proud.

Mazhar Nakha's life journey has been filled with challenges. His early education took place at Haji Ismail Haji Abana Municipal School, where he received basic education. Later, he completed his secondary education from Bandra Urdu High School in 1988 and graduated in 1994. During his student days, he would travel to college daily by local trains. His childhood dream was to become a doctor, but his middle-class background and congenital physical disability did not allow this dream to come true. However, Mazhar Nakha did not lose heart and decided that if he could not fulfill his dream, he would provide his children with the opportunities that he could not have.

After graduation, he completed a course in ticketing and data entry. In 1997, he started a business of STD booth and cyber cafe, which ran for several years. This business was the result of his hard work and dedication. However, due to the monorail project in Mumbai in 2012-13, his shop was affected, and the business had to be closed. After facing severe financial difficulties for a year, he joined a private company in 2014, where he still works and performs his duties efficiently.

In 1997, Mazhar Nakha married Tanveer. Tanveer is a graduate in Arts and currently works as a teacher at Vaman Rao Mahadik Bal Vardh. Both husband and wife have given special attention to their children's education and upbringing. They have always conveyed to their children that any goal can be achieved with hard work and honesty.

Their eldest son, Tabrez, completed his SSC from St. Michael's School and then did his 12th in science from Saboo Siddik College. Later, he completed a related course from TS Rahman Institute of Hotel Management and is now working in Dubai. Daughter Arabia completed her early education from Convent School and then did her 12th in science from Khalsa College. After that, she stepped into the paramedical field and not only scored well in her exams but also passed with a first-class degree in the Cardiologist Technician course, fulfilling her parents' dream. This success is not just a degree but the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and positive thinking.

Mazhar Nakha's personality is not limited to family responsibilities. He is also very active in social services. He is the president of Shifa Charitable Trust, general secretary of the Kokani Community Forum, chairman of the housing society, joint secretary of Anjuman Ittehad Society, and joint secretary of the Dabhol Education Society. His engagements continue as an executive member and advisor in various organizations. Despite 55 percent disability, he works for the welfare of society instead of sitting at home.

Arabia's success is a golden moment for him. Mazhar Nakha says, "I could not become a doctor myself, but today my daughter has stepped into the medical field and will help patients with heart diseases. This is the greatest happiness for me." This story is a lesson for every person who is facing difficulties. It tells us that with determination, hard work, and family support, any dream can be fulfilled.

Mazhar Nakha's life teaches us that disability can be physical, but if the will and thinking are strong, no goal is far away. His daughter Arabia's success is not only a matter of pride for the family but also for the entire area and community. This story is a message for all parents who are struggling for their children's bright future that their sacrifices will not go in vain.
