In Lucknow, a 'Barbad Corridor' has been made instead of a Green Corridor: Akhilesh Yadav
Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav said that the country's defense minister has done good work in his parliamentary constituency. He built a green corridor, but the chief minister has turned it into a "barbad corridor". He said that there is no space for pedestrians on it, while no road can be designed without pedestrians. There is police deployment everywhere, their corridor can never be "green".
On Sunday, during an event at the Samajwadi Party state headquarters, Akhilesh Yadav honored women who played a key role in awakening society along with their family responsibilities. Mainpuri MP Dimple Yadav, former Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan, former President of Bhasha Sansthan Dr. UP Singh, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Addressing the 'Murti Devi-Malti Devi Mahila Samman Samaroh', Akhilesh Yadav said, "If you want to see the real condition of a society or country, look at the condition of its women. Where there is a ban on speaking and writing, development is not possible."
He further said that NCRB figures show that women are the most affected. Men are given more importance in society, and until this thinking changes, the situation will not change. He clarified that this program was supposed to take place on March 8 (International Women's Day), but it could not happen due to some reason. He said that when the Samajwadi government is formed in the state, more work will be done for women. When the 1090 helpline was started, people had doubts, but later its results came to the fore, and the Supreme Court also recommended it to other states. At that time, many facilities were given to the Uttar Pradesh police, and women were included in Dial 100 so that better contact could be established with the victims.
Akhilesh Yadav said that Netaji had started the "Kanya Vidyadhan" scheme for the first time, and more schemes will be brought in the future. He said that by forming a government through the PDA, work will be done to take women forward. Referring to the "Yash Bharati" award, he said that it not only honored but also provided monthly financial assistance, which has now been stopped.
He said that in the future, under the Samajwadi Pension and "Nari Samriddhi Yojana", women will be given Rs 40,000 annually. Akhilesh Yadav claimed that real development will start from 2027. He said that budgets are being approved quickly in recent days.
Referring to the West Bengal elections, he said that Mamta Banerjee will win there. He alleged that a large number of people are being deployed there, who will later be sent to Uttar Pradesh, and money has already been sent to the booth level. He said that when political work is taken from the police, how will law and order be maintained? The murder of a sadhu in Mathura, and incidents in Gorakhpur and Varanasi are examples of this. He said that when the police did not spare even the Shankaracharya, they will not spare anyone.
