December is already known for its cold, fog, and beautiful nights. But this time, at the end of the year, the sky is going to present a beautiful sight. Today's 'Super Moon' will be the last Super Moon of 2025, which astronomers also call 'Cold Super Moon'. According to Sarika Gharu, an astronomy expert, today the moon will come very close to the Earth, at a distance of approximately 357,218 kilometers. This is why it will appear larger and brighter than usual.

The most interesting thing is that you won't need any telescope or special advanced gear to see it. If you go away from the city lights, the moon's glow and beauty will appear double. The moon will remain in the sky all night, so you'll have a great opportunity to see it. When the moon rises, it will appear even larger due to the 'Moon Illusion', meaning your eyes will tell you, "Wow, it looks really close!"

In India, the moon will start shining in the sky after sunset today. You'll be able to see this Super Moon all night. Where the weather is clear, its glow will be visible clearly. However, in areas with rain, fog, or high pollution, visibility might be a bit low. This Super Moon will also be visible in several countries around the world, including London, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Cardiff.

It's worth noting that this Super Moon, which appears in the cold of December, shines with about 99.5% brightness. The nights are longer in this month, and it's darker, which is why it's also called the 'Long Night Moon'. The moon shines in the sky with full brightness, as if someone has filled the night with silver.
