The Iranian leadership has expressed strong reaction to the possibility of US intervention in Iran's protests, following comments by US President Donald Trump. Ali Shamkhani, an advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei, warned that any interventionist hand approaching Iran's security will be cut off.
Ali Shamkhani stated on social media platform X that the Iranian nation is well aware of America's experiences in "saving" others, whether it be in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Gaza. Meanwhile, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's National Security Council, responded to US President Donald Trump's recent statements on X in English, saying that activities behind the scenes after statements by Israeli authorities and Trump have now become clear.
Ali Larijani said that Iran distinguishes between the stance of protesting merchants and the actions of rioters. He warned that US intervention in Iran's internal affairs will destabilize the entire region and harm US interests.
He further stated that the American people should know that Trump himself initiated this adventurism, and therefore, they should be cautious about the safety of their soldiers. It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump stated in his statement on Truth Account that if Iran commits violence against peaceful protesters or kills them, the US will come to their rescue.
The US President wrote in his message that they are fully prepared to go and save the protesters.
