May 4 will see the opening of Jeet Ki Mithai, announced Amit Shah

Awaz E Bihar•25 April 2026 at 04:08 pm•10 views•2 min read

Kolkata, 25 April (Agency). Amid the campaign for the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public rally in Jamalpur, East Burdwan district, on Saturday. During the campaign, he launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee government and claimed a victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Amit Shah said the BJP would win more than 110 seats in the first phase of voting and that after the victory on May 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be served the famous Sitalbhog of Burdwan to celebrate the win. He also appealed for the victory of the BJP candidate in the Jamalpur seat.
Raising the issue of law and order, the Union Home Minister alleged that over the past 15 years, women's rights have declined in the state, with the most atrocities committed against them. Citing incidents like the R.G. Kar and Sandeshkhali, he said that if the BJP forms the government, the safety of women would be ensured.
The Union Home Minister said the BJP is in power in 20 states in the country, and there is no such situation where women are not allowed to venture out of their homes after 7 pm. He claimed that if the BJP forms a government in any state, women would be able to move around safely even at midnight.
Amit Shah accused the Trinamool Congress of resorting to violence and intimidation during the elections. He said that BJP workers and voters cannot be intimidated and action would be taken according to the law.
He said that a wave of change is sweeping through West Bengal and the people have decided to change the government this time.
