Modi arrives in Kuala Lumpur on a two-day visit, Anwar Ibrahim welcomes Modi

Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on Saturday on a two-day visit. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim warmly welcomed him with a hug at the airport. After landing at the airport, Mr. Modi said in a post on social media, "Arrived in Kuala Lumpur. My heart was touched by the warm welcome at the airport by my friend, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. We look forward to talks and are moving forward to further strengthen India-Malaysia friendly relations." People from the Indian community were also gathered at the airport to welcome Mr. Modi. School children were holding the Indian national flag in their hands. Later, Mr. Ibrahim and Mr. Modi left in the same car. In a statement issued before leaving for Malaysia in the morning, Mr. Modi expressed hope that his visit to Malaysia would further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. He said the goal of the two countries is to deepen defense and security relations, increase economic and innovative partnerships, and expand cooperation in new areas. The Prime Minister said he is visiting Malaysia on the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
