More than 20 million people are expected to arrive in Tehran on the day of the funeral prayer of Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei, and funeral ceremonies will also be held in the cities of Qom and Mashhad, in addition to Tehran. According to details, the entire country is in a state of mourning following the demise of Iran's Martyr Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where preparations are underway for the largest human gathering in history in Tehran on the occasion of his last rites and funeral prayer. Iranian state media reported that more than 20 million people are expected to arrive in the capital Tehran on the day of the funeral prayer of Martyr Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Tehran's existing population is already around 10 million, however, large-scale arrangements are being made in view of the arrival of millions of mourners from across the country. State media further reported that in addition to the central funeral in Tehran, funeral prayers and condolence ceremonies will also be held in the cities of Qom and Mashhad in memory of the Supreme Leader. On the other hand, the body of Martyr Supreme Leader has been transferred to Tehran's central Imam Khomeini Mosque, where family members, close friends, high-ranking Iranian officials, and families of martyrs are present to pay their last respects. The first farewell gathering witnessed emotional scenes where every eye was tearful. Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei's son-in-law, Martyr Dr. Mostafa Baqeri, will be held today at 5 pm. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei said that more than 100 countries are participating in the funeral of Martyr Supreme Leader with official guests and high-level delegations, for which strict security and protocol arrangements have been made.
