Patna, September 20 (ABN). The names of 5 candidates supported by Jan Swaraj Party for the Bihar Legislative Council elections have been announced. On Sunday, Jan Swaraj founder and Bankipur MLA Prashant Kishor announced the names of the candidates during a press conference held at the party office in Patliputra Colony. The party has nominated Divya Jyoti from Patna Teacher Constituency, SP Roy from Darbhanga Teacher Constituency, Ravinder Yadav from Graduate Constituency, Afaq Ahmed from Saran Teacher Constituency and Rajneesh Ranjan from Kosi Graduate Constituency. It has been informed that besides Tirhat teacher and graduate constituencies, the candidates of Patna graduate constituencies will be announced in the next three to four days. If the situation of education improves in Bihar, the condition of teachers will also improve: Prashant Kishore.
During the press conference, Prashant Kishor made an important announcement regarding the teachers. He said that the fight of teachers against the system has been going on for many years. Be it the issue of TRE examinations, the issue of pay scale, the issue of posting of teachers in non-teaching work or the issue of mismanagement of underfunded and underfunded institutions, demands have been made for a long time on all these issues. He said that the teachers' community expects Jan Swaraj to stand by them to support their legitimate demands and their movements. Prashant Kishor said that our thinking is that when the situation of education in Bihar improves, only then the condition of teachers will also improve. During this time, after meeting and talking with many teachers, it has been decided that a struggle committee will be formed by bringing all the teachers' organizations on one platform. He said that there are three main demands of the teachers, on which Jan Swaraj will work together with the teachers for the next two to three years. Prashant Kishor announced to fulfill the three main demands of the teachers.
