Patna, September 20: (ABN) Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has assured the teachers who are deprived of financial assistance that the government is taking serious steps to solve their problems. He said that teachers and their representatives will be directly discussed and a committee has also been formed to solve the problems. Necessary instructions have been issued to the officers in this regard. Addressing the felicitation ceremony organized by the teachers deprived of financial aid at the Shri Krishna Memorial Hall, the Chief Minister said that the teachers are the architects of the future of the new generation.
The government has always respected teachers and will continue to respect them in the future. He said that the students of today will play an important role in the development and prosperity of tomorrow's Bihar. Samrat Chaudhary said that the government, teachers and society have to work together to make the dream of a developed India and a prosperous Bihar a reality. He mentioned the historical greatness of Bihar and said that the land of Magadha has given a new direction to the country's system of government. After 2005, there has been a significant change in the state's economy and infrastructure. According to him, the budget of Jharkhand in 2024 was Rs 1 lakh 39 thousand crore, while the budget of Bihar reached Rs 3 lakh 17 thousand crore. The Chief Minister said that the government has continuously focused on strengthening the education system. Financial assistance is being provided to students for higher education through student credit cards. On July 15, 211 new degree colleges in the state started academic activities simultaneously and about 2500 assistant professors were appointed. He said that the government's effort is to ensure that the children of Bihar do not have to go abroad for higher education and that they get better educational opportunities and quality teachers in the state itself. 700 model schools have been established in the state, where about 3.5 lakh children are receiving education. 75,000 teachers have been connected to the 'Vidyarthi Saathi' app and around 142,000 students are learning online even in the night hours.
Samrat Chaudhary said that the government has set a target of providing employment to one crore people in the next five years. Work will also be done towards making one crore women 'Lakhpati Didi'. Announcing the establishment of a separate university for women, he said that women would be represented in this institution from low-level employees to the vice-chancellor.
He said that Nalanda University has been re-established, while 220 acres of land has been allocated for the establishment of Vikramsheela University. The aim of the government is to strengthen the education system and provide a better future to the students. In the ceremony, Legislative Council Chairman Odhish Narayan Singh, Legislative Council Member Prof. Dr. Noel Kishore Yadav and Neeraj Kumar, along with many public representatives and a large number of underprivileged teachers were present.
