Patna: (ABN) Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary today launched a three-day special campaign to connect women with employment and health in a program organized before Raksha Bandhan at Samwad Sabhagar, Chief Minister's Secretariat. Under this special campaign, which will last until August 25, 26 and 27, the benefits of various schemes will be extended to women through the Department of Health, Dairy, Fisheries and Livestock Resources Department and the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare Department. The government's target is to connect one crore women with direct employment before the assembly elections of 2030. He said that the economic empowerment of women through about 1.81 crore women associated with Jiveka and more than 1.3 lakh Self Help Groups (SHGs) is continuing. Under this campaign, children, women and especially pregnant women in Bihar will be screened for anemia and treated and given medicines as needed. A large number of women are affected by anemia and anemia in pregnant women can pose a serious challenge to the health of both mother and child. The Chief Minister launched the 'Anemia Free Bihar Special Campaign'. The campaign will continue from August 25 to November 30, 2026. Through this, prevention, screening, treatment and public awareness of anemia in the state will be promoted in a big way. Under the campaign, a target of reaching about 1 crore 20 lakh 82 thousand 500 beneficiaries has been set. The chief minister said that a large number of people have been screened under the TB eradication campaign by the health department. Health services are now being further strengthened up to the district level. 36 types of operations are being facilitated in the districts, so that people will not need to come to Patna for every medical facility, big or small. The Chief Minister announced to increase the participation of women in animal husbandry and dairy sector, saying that currently around 12 lakh farmers are involved in milk production. A target has been set to increase this number to more than 5 million. Women will be provided employment by connecting them with Siddha Sakhi, Jeonika Siddha Cell Center and Milk Collection Centres.
At the national level, women's participation in the dairy sector is about 70%. It has been targeted to increase it to 80 percent in Bihar. Under the Chief Minister Women's Employment Scheme, the second and third installments are being given to the women who have opened Siddha Cell Centers to the tune of Rs. 60,000. Didis will be selected through lottery to open a Siddha Cell Center in all Panchayats. There is also a plan to expand the project to village level in future. He said that a drive to open veterinary medicine sales centers in all 534 blocks of the state has also been started to bring the facility of cattle treatment and medicine closer to the village. The Chief Minister made another important announcement saying that women belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) who marry between castes will now be given an assistance of Rs 1.25 lakh by the Bihar government. The central government is also giving assistance of Rs. 1.25 lakh in this regard, which means that they will get a total financial assistance of Rs. 2.50 lakh.
In this regard, steps have been started in the direction of implementing this decision from today. The Chief Minister said that the female students of all classes who are successful in the preliminary stage of the important competitive examinations will be provided with an incentive amount of Rs. 30 thousand to Rs. Today, about 59 to 60 percent of women are elected as public representatives in the state. This is a major achievement of Bihar in the direction of women empowerment.
The chief minister said that a target of providing 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh employment was set in the year 2020. In comparison, the government has provided about 1.2 lakh government jobs and linked about 5.1 lakh people with employment. Now under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the guidance of former Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar, the government has set a target of directly linking one crore people with government jobs and employment. Linking the women of Bihar with employment is an important part of this goal. He said that the new Bihar will be built by making the empowerment of women the biggest strength of a prosperous Bihar. The online system has already been started, while now the problems of the students will be solved through the camp as well. It covers various problems related to education including hostels, student accommodation, schools, colleges. He said that so far around 6.46 lakh applications have been received through the 'Sehyog Portal', out of which 96% applications have been successfully processed. Government's aim is to solve the problems of the people within the stipulated time.
Naha appealed to all the sisters to come forward and play an active role in this campaign for employment, health and social development.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the 'Suddha Sukhi Training Camp'. Allotment letters of Jivika-Saddha Cell Centers were distributed on this occasion. Election letters were also provided to selected women for women-run livestock medicine sales centres.
Registration certificates of milk producing cooperative societies formed under the program related to 'Sidha' were also distributed. Apart from this, the establishment of Mithla Hastkala Cooperative Society was announced and certificates were provided to the newly elected president and members.
Through 'Saddha Sukhi', economic stability of women will be promoted by connecting them with employment and self-employment.

Padma Shri Dalari Devi was appointed as President, Padma Shri Shanti Devi as Vice President and Padma Shri Shivam Paswan as Vice President. Ms. Rani Jha was made a member.
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Jeevika Didi, Siddha Sukhi and milk-producing women felicitated the Chief Minister by tying rakhis. The Chief Minister congratulated all the sisters on their raksha bandhan and wished them all the best for their bright future.
