Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday in Muscat that Oman is a friend of India in all seasons, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two countries will bring new confidence and energy to cooperation in the 21st century. The Prime Minister addressed the India-Oman Business Summit in Muscat today. He expressed confidence that this platform will infuse new energy into trade relations between the two countries and open up opportunities for development. During the summit, he interacted with business leaders and discussed opportunities for economic cooperation. Regarding CEPA, the Prime Minister said, "It is often said that the two shores of the sea are very far from each other. But the Arabian Sea has become a strong bridge between Mandvi and Muscat, a bridge that has strengthened our relations and strengthened our cultural economy. Today we can say with confidence that the waves of the sea can change, the weather can change, but the friendship between India and Oman becomes stronger with every season and touches new heights with every wave." He said that Oman has immense potential in India's development journey. The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) will give birth to new confidence and collective energy for our century. It will promote our trade, create new confidence in investment, and open up new doors of opportunities in every field. The Prime Minister mentioned that in the last 11 years, India has not only changed its policies but also the structure of its economy. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) has transformed India into a unified and interconnected market. The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code promotes financial discipline and transparency, as well as increases investor confidence. Dozens of labor codes in the country have been consolidated into just four, which is one of the biggest labor reforms in Indian history. On the completion of 70 years of diplomatic relations, the Prime Minister said that this is not just a celebration of 70 years, but a milestone where we are taking our centuries-old heritage to a prosperous future.
