Thousands of people from Morocco crossed the border fence to enter Spain illegally

Awaz E Bihar•31 July 2026 at 03:11 pm•21 views•1 min read

Thousands of individuals from Morocco have illegally crossed into Spain, driven by their desire to reach Europe. The desire to reach Europe is increasing worldwide, and the daily life-threatening and heartbreaking incidents are not deterring them. Videos of thousands of migrants from Morocco illegally crossing the border fence into the Spanish autonomous coastal region of Ceuta have gone viral on social media. All the individuals who entered are young, with no children, elderly, or women among them. Between 1,000 to 2,000 migrants from Morocco have crossed into Ceuta in just 10 days, with several reaching Spain by rubber boats, swimming, and jumping over the border fence. This development comes after a recent ruling by the Spanish Supreme Court, which banned the immediate return of migrants caught at sea. Authorities say the Supreme Court's ruling has led to a significant increase in illegal migration. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has hinted at strengthening border surveillance with Spain and increasing security measures under the Schengen system to address the growing migrant crisis.
