Patna, October 6: (ABN) Jan Suraaj founder and Bankipore MLA Prashant Kishor participated in a nomination rally held in Patna in connection with the upcoming MLAs elections. At the rally held at the Aditi Community Center near Sinha Library Road, he joined candidates Dr. Anuj Kumar and Dr. Deviya Jiوتي for the Patna Teachers and Patna Graduate constituencies, respectively, and appealed to voters to support both candidates.
Prashant Kishor made a major promise to teachers, stating that it is their responsibility to ensure the 7th Pay Commission for teachers of all categories before the Lok Sabha elections. He asserted that the 7th Pay Commission will be implemented for teachers under all circumstances. He stated that they will not back down, even if it requires sitting on dharnas, undertaking an indefinite hunger strike, or surrounding the Chief Minister’s residence.
He noted that just as people in Bankipore rose above caste, religion, and political party lines to vote for change, the same approach is needed this time to elect the Jan Suraaj candidates in the Patna Graduate and Patna Teacher constituencies. He said, “No caste, no religion, no party, and no leader—there is only one goal: change in Bihar, better education, and dignity and a better pay scale for teachers.”
Prashant Kishor also subjected JDU candidate Neeraj Kumar to severe criticism. He questioned how those who have been in power for 15 to 20 years can ask for votes today if they failed to secure a better pay scale for teachers. He accused them of remaining silent on the atrocities in society and the killings of members of the Yadav community.
Issuing a challenge, Prashant Kishor stated that if Chief Minister Nitish Kumar appears on camera and asks for votes in support of Neeraj Kumar, Jan Suraaj is ready to withdraw its candidate. However, he sarcastically remarked that it should not be an “AI-generated video” like the one in Bankipore.
He claimed that the public has already made up its mind to defeat Neeraj Kumar by electing Dr. Anuj Kumar and to defeat Nool Kishor by electing Dr. Deviya Jiوتي. Prashant Kishor added that after Dr. Anuj Kumar’s victory, every possible effort will be made to provide educated unemployed youth with jobs in the private sector according to their capabilities, following the Bankipore model.
A large number of workers and supporters were present at the rally, including Kishor Kumar Manna, Ram Bali Chandrakeshi, Ashok Ji, Syed Masihuddin, Ubaidur Rahman, Baban Yadav, Ravi Narain, and Dinesh Singh.
