Sanaa: Continuous changes are occurring in Yemen’s military and political situation, and the war is entering a decisive phase. As the scope of military operations expands, the focus of the fighting has shifted from limiting the capabilities of the Houthis to targeting their key power centers and deployment locations.

On the other hand, the forces of the legitimate government have announced the recapture of key strategic locations, while coalition forces have continued attacks on missile launch platforms and their warehouses. Rashad al-Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, had announced the launch of the military operation “Fajr al-Yemen” with the aim of ending the rebellion of the Iran-backed Houthi militia, restoring state institutions, and liberating the capital, Sanaa.

On Sunday, reports revealed the identities of some victims of the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh that took place the previous day. Twelve people were killed in the attack. The deceased included four Saudis, two Bangladeshis, and one citizen each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. Among them was 28-year-old Egyptian flight attendant Azza Ramsy Mohamed Hassan. Reports indicated that she was working for a Saudi airline and died from her severe injuries. According to reports, the Egyptian Embassy and Consulate General in Riyadh are in contact with her family to arrange the repatriation of her body. Media reports also stated that the Egyptian diplomatic mission is aware of the condition of other Egyptian citizens injured in the attack. Additionally, Jordanian citizen Mohamed Hussein Al-Barqawi was identified as another victim of the attack. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that four other Jordanian citizens were also injured in the attack and that it is obtaining information about their condition in coordination with Saudi authorities. The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation stated on Sunday that the attack, which took place on Friday, killed 12 people and injured over 300, some of whom are in critical condition. The Saudi-led coalition stated on Sunday that the Houthi attack on Riyadh airport constitutes a “war crime” and expressed its determination to deliver a decisive response.

Rapid changes continue in Yemen’s military and political situation, and the ongoing war has entered a new phase. With the expansion of the scope of military operations, the focus has shifted from limiting Houthi capabilities to targeting their key power centers and deployment locations. The forces of the legitimate government have claimed the recapture of multiple key strategic locations, while coalition forces have continued to target missile launch platforms and their stockpiles. Rashad al-Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, had announced the launch of the military operation “Fajr al-Yemen” with the aim of ending the rebellion of the Iran-backed Houthi militia, restoring state institutions, and bringing the capital, Sanaa, back under government control. Recent operations, which have targeted Houthi military capabilities, missile installations, and their key centers, have further complicated the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
