Bihar Floods: 20 Dead Across Eight Districts, Seven Missing in Saran

Patna, October 3: Floodwaters have proven fatal across various districts of Bihar. On Friday, 20 people died after drowning in floodwaters in eight districts of the state. The deceased include two sisters. The highest number of deaths occurred in East Champaran district, where eight people lost their lives after drowning in floodwaters. East Champaran was the most affected by drowning incidents, with eight deaths reported at various locations in the district due to drowning. Traffic in several areas has been disrupted due to the spread of floodwaters, and people have been advised to exercise caution.

Four people also died after drowning in floodwaters in Saran district. Additionally, seven people are reported missing. Search and rescue operations are underway at the local level to locate the missing individuals. Administration teams are monitoring the situation.

The deaths of two sisters are included among the drowning incidents that occurred in the state on Friday. A somber atmosphere prevails in the affected areas following these deaths caused by drowning in floodwaters. Upon receiving reports of the incidents, the local administration initiated necessary action.

A total of eight districts in Bihar reported drowning incidents in floodwaters on Friday. People drowned after being swept away by water at various locations. Following these incidents, the local administration has increased surveillance in the affected areas and appealed to people not to enter floodwaters.

After reports of seven missing persons in Saran, a search is underway. Local relief and rescue teams have been mobilized. The administration is instructing people in flood-affected areas to stay in safe locations and keep away from areas with strong water currents. The death of 20 people in a single day due to drowning in floodwaters has further highlighted the severity of the floods in the state. The administration is continuously monitoring the situation in the affected districts.
