The domination of fascism over West Bengal and the economic and religious plan of Muslim genocide
Dr. Muhammad Farooq, Kolkata Today, the political history of West Bengal, the dynamic tradition of ideologies and constitutional values has reached a terrible and terrible point. The BJP government formed on May 9, 2026 under the leadership of Shobhandu Adhikari has completed 100 days today on August 19, 2026. These first 100 days have proved to be the most terrible prelude to the formal domination of fascism over the constitutional, economic and national existence of this state, the official implementation of the anti-Muslim agenda and a systematic plan to erase the religious and economic identity of a living nation. The Muslim minority consisting of more than 3 crore people, which is about 30 percent of the total population of the state, which Trinamool Congress and Mamata Banerjee kept as 'political prisoners of fear' for their rise and brutally exploited them under the attractive and artificial mask of 'secularism', today the same political alignment is reaping the harvest of its own carved thorns. The political vacuum created by the systematic elimination of the Left and the traditional opposition opened the door to power for the Sangh Parivar and fascist forces. Decades of hypocritical politics of Mamata government, continuous deprivation of educational and economic rights and the cowardly strategy of keeping Muslims as a hostage vote bank have finally brought the state to the point where the constitutional civil and religious rights of Muslims are being publicly killed under the guise of allegations of 'tushti karan' (Muslim appeasement). During these first 100 days of the Shobhandu government, the anti-Muslim agenda is being implemented by making it a formal law and official policy of the state. The era of giving financial aid based on religion is gone from West Bengal, like all government facilities, grants and welfare benefits given to minorities under the guise of poisonous and hateful slogans have been completely wiped out. Along with this, the non-inclusion of important central schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Bengal is being blamed on the so-called 'Muslim appeasement' and a sinister attempt is being made to portray the minority community as criminals and parasites at the state level. In the name of banning loudspeakers, the call to prayer from the minarets of mosques is being suppressed by administrative repression, giving a blow to the religious freedom of Muslims and the rituals of Islam. Strict and inflexible administrative restrictions have been imposed on the performance of prayers at intersections and roads under the pretext of traffic discipline. Even the age-old traditional Eid prayers and grand Friday gatherings on the historic Red Road, where political leaders in the previous regime used to be present for their own interests, have been completely abolished from 2026 onwards at the behest of state forces and batons. On the other hand, the aggressive agenda of ``detect'', ``delete'' and ``deport'' is being touted by the government as its greatest achievement. Under the guise of this legal action, the patriotism and citizenship of Muslim citizens are being questioned. Bangladesh Border Security Force is being blindly provided with vast areas of land to prevent so-called infiltration and the process of fencing is being accelerated so that the Muslims of the border districts are forced to live under the shadow of fear, harassment and eviction at all times. Complete ban on cow slaughter, provision of so-called legal umbrella to terrorist gangs of cow rickshaws in the name of cattle transportation and economic warfare on minority traders has now become the new norm of the state. Even more sinister is the legislative and administrative mechanism aimed at excluding Muslims from purchasing land and property altogether. The so-called security clearance conditional system is being introduced on such complicated land transfer regulations and pledges by various urban and rural departments so that Muslims cannot buy property even in Muslim majority areas and remain economically paralyzed and become refugees in their own homeland. On top of this, the countdown to bring the draft bill of Uniform Civil Code to the floor of the Assembly has started, through which the final blow will be given to Muslim Personal Law, Marriage, Divorce and Sharia Laws of Inheritance and the constitutional guarantees of Muslims. History is a witness that when nations compromise on their identity and existential crisis, their name and mark is erased from geography. The Muslims of Bengal will now have to fight the last and final battle for their political, economic and ideological independence. The drama of the Trinamool Congress and its conscience-mongering Muslim scumbags is now over. If the spell of negligence on Muslims is not broken, if these political aggressors are not held to account and if Muslims do not stand as a Himalayan rock in front of the fascist and anti-Muslim agenda of the Shobhandu government, then the existence of Muslims from the state, their history and the religious and economic name of their coming generations will be erased like a wrong letter.
