Patna, August 13, 2026: A new era for employment and government service for Bihar's young generation has begun! 2,027 young people who succeeded in the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) joint competitive examination were given appointment letters at the Bapu Auditorium on Thursday. The distribution of appointment letters to such a large number of people in a single event has been termed a significant milestone for the state. The Chief Minister, referring to the government's employment policy, said that between 2020 and 2025, 12 lakh government jobs and 50 lakh employment opportunities were created. Now, the government has set a target of providing employment to one crore young people from 2025 to 2030. He said that the government is continuously taking steps to create more and more opportunities for self-employment along with employment for young people, so that the state's young people get better opportunities to build their future.
A budget of 3.47 lakh crores, preparation of 12 new townships Samrat Choudhary said that Bihar's budget has increased to 3.47 lakh crores. To accelerate urban development in the state, a plan has been made to develop 12 new townships. Through these townships, along with attracting investment, the urban infrastructure will also be modernized. He said that promoting the PPP model in various sectors will increase private investment in the state and give a new impetus to Bihar's all-round development.
From steel to semiconductors, a new chapter in industry in Bihar The Chief Minister said that industrialization has been included in the government's priorities. Along with making Bihar a steel hub, special attention is being paid to investment in future sectors like semiconductors, nuclear energy, and food processing. Investment in these sectors will not only increase industrial activity but also create new employment opportunities for young people on a large scale and provide a strong foundation for the state's economy.
Network of roads, pace of development accelerates The Chief Minister, referring to the development of roads and infrastructure in the state, said that the benefit of better road connectivity is directly reaching the common people. Due to better road connectivity, it is now possible to reach Bodh Gaya from Patna in about one and a half hours. He said that strong infrastructure is a basic necessity for investment, industry, employment, and trade, and the government is working continuously in this direction.
Resolution of public grievances within 30 days The Chief Minister, while making the new officers aware of the responsibility of resolving public grievances, said that through the "Sahayog Program", an attempt is being made to resolve public complaints within the stipulated 30 days. He said that the basic purpose of every individual who gets a government job should be to serve the public, win their trust, and play their role in the development of the state by becoming a servant of the public.
