Official records to be digitized, citizens to get digital copies: Dr Dilip Jaiswal

Patna, Sep 29 (ABN) The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has taken a major initiative to make the land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement system digital and transparent. On Tuesday, in a meeting chaired by Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr Dilip Kumar Jaiswal at his office, it was decided to link the land acquisition authorities of Patna, Gaya, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Sahar Saha with the Revenue Court Management System (RCMS) and digitize all their records. In the meeting, Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said that all revenue courts of the department are functioning under revenue court management system. Actions of land acquisition, resettlement and resettlement authorities will also be ensured according to this system. This will make hearing of cases, maintenance of records and monitoring of progress of cases more organized and digitized. On this occasion, the Revenue Minister said that the work of digitizing the documents of the department is in progress. In this regard, all records available with land acquisition, rehabilitation, and resettlement authorities will also be digitized soon. After this, arrangements will be made to provide citizens with digital copies of the necessary records related to the authority. He said that the aim of the digital system is to provide convenience to the citizens while ensuring transparency and accountability in the proceedings of the cases. The Revenue Minister reviewed the functioning of six authorities and the status of pending cases. He said that due to long-term vacancies, a large number of cases have accumulated in the authorities. Now after posting, presiding officers have to be present six working days in a week to dispose of pending cases expeditiously. Patna Presiding Officer Mr. Hemant Kumar Tripathi, Gaya Presiding Officer Mr. Vinod Kumar Tiwari, Saran Presiding Officer Mr. Sampurnanand Tiwari, Muzaffarpur Presiding Officer Mr. Ali Ahmed, Darbhanga Presiding Officer Mr. Devraj Tripathi, and Saharsa Presiding Officer Mr. Hashamuddin Anees were present during the meeting.
