Patna, September 28: A surveillance team conducted simultaneous raids on Monday at various residences of Additional District Magistrate (Supply) of Patna Ravinder Diwakar and his wife Sweety who is sub-registrar of Danapur in Patna and Begusarai. During the operation, the surveillance team recovered Rs 39 lakh in cash, valuable watches and jewellery. After the raid, there has been a commotion in the administrative circles. According to the information received, the surveillance team has raided the premises of Ravinder Diwakar and his wife in Patna and Begusarai. Documents, financial transaction records and other items were examined by the team at various locations. During the raid, apart from large amount of cash, expensive watches and jewelery were also reportedly recovered. The recovery of Rs 39 lakh cash is said to be the main aspect of the operation. The surveillance team is investigating the source of the recovered money and other valuables. Along with this, documents related to property, bank accounts and other financial matters are also reportedly being probed. Ravinder Diwakar is posted as ADM Supply in Patna, while his wife Sweety is serving as sub-registrar in Danapur. The action of the surveillance team on the residences of the two government officials on the same day has made the matter a topic of discussion in government circles as well. The details and value of cash, jewelery and valuable watches recovered during the raid are being formally verified.
