Aim to be among the country's top 10 universities in the next 10 years: Vice Chancellor

Darbhanga, August 15: Bihar's prestigious Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga, witnessed flag-hoisting ceremonies at various locations on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. The central event was held at the university headquarters, where Vice-Chancellor Professor Sanjay Kumar Choudhary hoisted the flag. On this occasion, Mr. Choudhary paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs, saying that due to their sacrifices, struggles, and unparalleled bravery, we are breathing in an independent India today. He said that at the time of independence, India's economic and social situation was quite backward, but through various development programs, including five-year plans, the country has made continuous progress. The Vice-Chancellor said that India is a country of young people and is rapidly moving towards the goal of a developed India by 2047. Referring to the development of the university, he said that for the past two and a half years, work has been done in the university with complete transparency. To provide students with employment-based skills along with traditional education, new skill development courses have been started in various fields. He said that according to the National Education Policy 2020, the university's objective is not only to provide degrees to students but also to equip them with skills, innovation, research, and moral values. He said, "Currently, our university is ranked first in the state, and we hope that in the next 10 years, it will be among the top 10 universities in the country."
