AI will transform Bihar's pace of growth, opening new doors of employment in industry and sports
Bihar is now moving beyond the development of infrastructure and connectivity to new possibilities in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence (AI). The use of AI can create new opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and innovation in industry, startups and sports sectors. Bihar has seen significant expansion in infrastructure during the last two decades, said Sports and Industries Minister Sharisi Singh while addressing a seminar held at Magadh Mahila College on Monday. Now the state should move towards the next phase of development with new technology. In a seminar jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Bihar regional branch, IQAC, and the Department of Political Science at Magadh Mahila College, titled "Potential of AI in Bihar's Development: Special Focus on Industry and Sports", the minister said that manufacturing units of major companies in the state are being set up. A company like Amul was allotted land in just 24 hours. The produce of Bhata's modern irradiation center like makhana, satu, mango and litchi are being exported to USA and Australia. He said that under the startup policy, 74 startups have been identified in 31 days and given financial assistance of Rs.10 lakh each to start their work. The Minister appealed to the youth and women to understand AI and new technologies and contribute their proposals for policy development. The minister said that along with the coach, the team of New Train physiotherapists, sportsmen, cyclo-just, performance analysts and nutritionists play a key role in bringing the athlete to the Olympic level. AI can make sports training more scientific by analyzing data on athlete performance, training, nutrition and recovery. It will also create new employment opportunities in the sports industry. He appealed to women to be aware and mentally strong. Bihar Grameen Bank Chairman Mukul Sahay said AI is not limited to technology or ChatGPT, but is a tool to change the way we live, think and work. Analyzing data about spring resources and capabilities and using AI effectively can provide new directions for revenue and growth. Dr. Nagendra Prasad Verma, principal of Magadh Mahila College, said that AI is impacting almost all sectors such as education, health, agriculture, industry and sports. It can play an important role in industrial development, entrepreneurship, employment, and nurturing sports talent in Bihar. Program Coordinator Dr. Nishant Kumar said that thanks to the Minister's efforts, Bihar is on the way to achieving the vision of a modern Bihar. Dr. Kumar highlighted the important role played by Minister Shreesi Singh and Bihar Government.
