Patna, July 19 (ABN): Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary today inaugurated 551 Saraswati Vidyapeeth (Model Schools) in the state at a program held at the IOC Stadium in Begusarai. Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that education is the greatest strength of any developed society and the Bihar government is continuously working to bring about a historic change in the field of education. He said that the state government's goal is to create an educational environment where every child can get modern, standard, technology-based, and cultural education.
The Chief Minister said that the state government's vision is that 'Bihar will move forward when Bihar reads'. To make this resolve a reality, widespread reforms are being made in school education. He said that government schools are now creating a standard educational environment comparable to private schools, so that children from rural and economically weaker sections can also get equal opportunities. He said that the state government has recently launched "Bihar School Live Classes", which gives students the opportunity to get online education from the state's prominent teachers. From August 15, the facility of live interactive classes will be provided through the 'FILO App'. Through this app, children will be able to access live classes at any time.
The Chief Minister said that in selected schools, smart classrooms, digital studios, modern laboratories, and special arrangements for preparation for competitive exams including NEET and JEE are being made. He said that the government's goal is to ensure that students from Bihar do not have to depend on other states for quality education and competitive exam preparation.
The Chief Minister said that today is a historic day, as 551 Saraswati Vidyapeeth (Model Schools) are being opened in a single day. Four lakh children will get education in these model schools. These model schools will provide a strong foundation for the better future of the children. These are not just new schools, but a strong foundation for Bihar's new education policy and the resolve for a developed Bihar. Through these schools, students will acquire knowledge, values, discipline, and a sense of nation-building.
The Chief Minister said that the government has also taken several steps for the betterment of teachers. We want teachers to teach students well so that their future is better. The transfer process of teachers will start from July 29 in a transparent manner, keeping in view the welfare of teachers. He informed that 211 degree colleges were inaugurated on July 15, and land has also been made available for Vikramshila University.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister made several important announcements related to the overall development of Begusarai and Bihar. He said that a university will be established in Begusarai in the name of national poet Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar'. This university will become an important center for higher education, research, literature, and Indian thought, which will connect future generations with the thoughts and literary heritage of the national poet Dinkar. A Bhagwan Sri Venkateshwar (Tirupati) temple will be built on 10 acres of land in Begusarai.
The Chief Minister said that a marine drive will be constructed along the Ganga river from Samaria to Bhagalpur. This important project will provide a new direction to tourism, transportation, and regional development, and will also accelerate the development of the Ganga riverbank. He said that the construction of the Raxaul-Haldia Expressway will give a new impetus to Bihar's connectivity. With its completion, people from this region, including Begusarai and Munger, will be able to travel to Kolkata in about five hours. This will greatly promote industry, trade, agriculture, transportation, and investment, and will give a new direction to the state's economic development.
The Chief Minister said that the Bihar government is working for integrated development in the fields of education, infrastructure, health, tourism, culture, and employment. We are continuously working to fulfill the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's developed India and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's prosperous Bihar. Work is being done rapidly to achieve the target of providing employment to one crore people. Better employment can be obtained through higher education. An amount of Rs 10,000 has been transferred to the accounts of 1 crore 81 lakh sisters. Those who have not received the amount will get it by July 25.
The Chief Minister said that through these schemes and projects, Bihar will move forward in the category of developed states and the dreams of the youth will get a new flight. During the program, a short film based on Saraswati Vidyapeeth (Model School) was screened in front of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister handed over symbolic checks, certificates/acceptance letters to the beneficiaries of various schemes, including Satat Jiviko Parjan Scheme, Jeevika Self-Help Group Inter-Caste Marriage Incentive Grant Scheme, Abhiyan Basera, and Ayushman Card.
Before participating in the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated the BP Inter School Begusarai, selected as Saraswati Vidyapeeth (Model School) under Begusarai block, by unveiling the nameplate. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the Saraswati Vidyapeeth (Model School) Begusarai. During the inspection, he inspected the music room, library, physics lab, smart classroom, and other facilities and inquired about the facilities provided from the authorities. The Chief Minister inspected the art and craft, modern technology, and science exhibition organized by the students in the school campus and interacted with the children. On his arrival, the school children welcomed him with a welcome song and drum beats.
