Patna, August 25: (ABN) Chief Secretary Pratiya Amrit on Tuesday reviewed the progress of important schemes and development projects of various departments. The meeting was attended by the magistrates of all the districts of the state and senior officers of the relevant departments. Meanwhile, the projects related to agriculture, health, higher education, energy and other departments were reviewed in detail. The chief secretary gave clear instructions to the district magistrates that no laxity will be tolerated in matters related to development works and land transfer. He directed to complete all the projects related to public interest and development within the stipulated period and asked to establish better coordination between various departments and regularly review the progress of the projects on weekly and monthly basis.
While reviewing the progress of Kisan Registry, it was informed that a target of registration of 86.36 lakh farmers has been set in the state. Registration of 53.54 lakh farmers has been completed so far, which is about 62 per cent of the target. Vaishali and Sheikhupura districts have performed well in farmer registration, while Saran and Jamui showed slow progress. Expressing displeasure at the performance of these districts, the Chief Secretary directed to speed up the registration by conducting a special campaign immediately. Pending applications for state-level verification were also asked to be disposed of expeditiously.
While reviewing the PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme of the Energy Department, it was informed that 1,22,656 applications have been received so far in the state and the process of installing solar panels is in progress. Out of a total of 35,741 loan applications, 58.8 percent of the loans have been approved. The Chief Secretary directed to reduce the loan rejection rate by establishing better coordination with the banks and speed up the process of installing solar plants on the roofs of houses.
While reviewing the construction of Anganwadi Centers buildings, Pratiya Amrit stressed on immediate resolution of non-availability of land and land related disputes. He directed to complete the construction of Anganwadi Centers within the stipulated period through effective sharing of resources of MGNREGA (VB-G Ramji) and 15th Finance Commission.
While reviewing the TB Mukta Bharat Abhiyan of the Health Department, it was informed that 2.59 crore people have been screened for TB so far in the state. This is 213 percent of the set target of 52 days. Saran district performed well with 400 percent and Saharsa with 386 percent screening. The Chief Secretary directed to keep the 'TB Makta Bharat Committee' active at the district level and ensure timely entry of all results on the Nakshe portal. He also directed to increase frontline screening, conduct 100 percent upfront Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) and speed up payment to beneficiaries under the Nakshe Potion Yojana. So far 93,275 beneficiaries have been paid under this scheme.
Reviewing the schemes of the Cooperation Department, the Chief Secretary directed the District Magistrates to immediately complete the transfer of three lands pending for block level infrastructure, cold storage and vegetable outlets and nine lands pending for onion storage.
Construction of permanent campuses of 211 new degree colleges under seven Nashchaya-3 in higher education sector was also reviewed. Land details for 68 colleges have been received so far, while land details for 143 colleges are still pending. Transfer of two acres of land should be ensured.
He also directed to identify the available government or non-cultivated public land near the block headquarters and allocate it for new degree colleges. He directed the officers to continuously monitor the schemes related to public interest and bring them to the ground in due time.
