Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) Administrator Mr. Atul Verma on Saturday conducted a surprise inspection of city and long-distance buses plying in the capital Patna. He reviewed passenger facilities, ticketing and cleanliness of the bus. They started the inspection at the Bihar Museum bus stop, then proceeded to the Multi Modal Hub (ISBT). At both the stops, he boarded the buses and interacted directly with passengers, inquiring about their experiences with BSRTC services. During the conversation, most of the passengers seemed satisfied with the bus service. He said that buses are now arriving on time, making travel more convenient and comfortable. During the inspection, the administrator paid special attention to the ticketing system. He found that all the passengers in the cabs had valid tickets, which he described as satisfactory. He directed the conductors to ensure that no passenger is allowed to travel without a ticket and to fully implement the e-ticketing system. Mr. Verma then issued strict instructions to the bus drivers, conductors and depot management. He said that special attention should be given to cleanliness in all buses and no bus should be sent on the routes in an unpleasant condition. He also said that all employees should come to duty in prescribed uniform and treat passengers with courtesy and respect, which will further improve the image of BSRTC. Assistant Regional Manager Arvind Kumar, Mamata Kumari and Multi-modal Hub in-charge Abhishek Kumar were present on the occasion.
