Patna, March 26: (ABN) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the construction work of the Community Toilet Complex under the Lohiya Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Atwan Market in Gram Panchayat Abgila of Arwal district during the Samriddhi Yatra from Government Plus 2 High School, Atwan. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the up-gradation work of Government +2 High School, Atwan, by cutting the ribbon. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of the science laboratory, smart learning hub, ISM lab, etc. and handed over a symbolic check of Rs 4,12,500 to the beneficiary under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department.
The Chief Minister interacted with the girl students taking karate training in the school premises for self-defense, encouraged them, and congratulated them. The girl students welcomed the Chief Minister by singing a welcome song and performing a dance on the Chhath festival song. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 272 development projects worth Rs 153 crore at the Government Medical College in Arwal district. This includes the inauguration of 250 schemes worth Rs 90 crore and laying the foundation stone of 22 schemes worth Rs 63 crore.
During the Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inspected the display of the development schemes announced and other welfare schemes and got detailed information from the officials about the progress of their implementation. These schemes include the construction of the road from Mali to Akaranga via Turk Telpa, modernization of Vithra Veer (Seenan Veer) in Kartha block, construction of a sports complex in Arwal district under the Chief Minister Sports Development Scheme, road construction from Arwal bus stand to Jankipur Dham, from SP's residence to Bedraabad road, and from Mirzapur to Dekra block.
The construction work includes the construction of block-cum-zonal offices in Arwal Sadar, Kurpi, and Kartha blocks, establishment of an industrial area, construction work of 620-capacity Atal Kalyan Bhavan, etc. The Chief Minister directed the officials to complete all these development schemes in a timely and proper manner. After the completion of all these schemes, the area will develop further, which will benefit the public a lot.
The Chief Minister inspected the stalls put up by various departments. During the inspection, the Chief Minister handed over a symbolic check of Rs 101 crore to 5446 self-help groups under the bank loan distribution, a symbolic check of the Chief Minister's Gram Transport Scheme, a symbolic check of financial assistance under the Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Mantra scheme, an Ayushman card, and a key to a battery-operated tricycle under the Chief Minister's Disability Empowerment Scheme.
The Chief Minister inspected the land earmarked for the Government Medical College and Hospital in Belkhara and got detailed information from the officials. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sushil Kumar Modi, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Rural Development Minister Ashok Choudhary, Panchayati Raj Minister and in-charge Minister of Arwal district Shri Deepak Prakash, MLA Shri Manoj Kumar, MLA Shri Pappu Kumar Verma, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Shri Deepak Kumar, Chief Minister's Secretary Shri Kumar Ravi, Magadh Zone's DIG Shri Chhattranil Singh, Arwal's DM Smt. Amresha Bansal, in-charge SP Shri Rajesh Kumar, and other senior officials were present.
