Conducting workshop for review of textbooks
Patna, August 22, 2026: A six-day workshop for improving self-learning materials and textbooks developed under the Bihar Open Schooling and Examination Board (BIBOSE) at SCERT, Mahindro concluded on Saturday. Education Minister Mr. Mithlesh Tiwari had directed to organize a workshop for review of BIBOSE textbooks. Self-learning materials and textbooks of various subjects were carefully reviewed in the workshop as per National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework (School Education) 2023. In the workshop organized in three phases, experts from various subjects including language, commerce, science, mathematics, computer science, home science, and business studies participated. Meanwhile, keeping in mind the National Education Policy 2020, special emphasis was laid on making teaching materials more convenient, useful, contemporary and student-centric. Necessary reforms in teaching materials were also discussed to develop comprehension, logical thinking, creativity and practical knowledge among students. BBOS Chief Executive Officer Mr. Vijay Kumar thanked all the teachers and experts who participated in the workshop. He said that it is the priority of the board to provide quality and latest study materials to the students of open schooling.
