'Fight for people's rights more strongly' - Lalu Prasad

Awaz E Bihar•5 July 2026 at 08:40 am•18 views•2 min read

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is celebrating its 30th foundation day today. On this occasion, the party's founder Lalu Prasad Yadav, in a message to the people of Bihar and party workers, described the organizational journey of three decades as an example of struggle, sacrifice, and politics of social justice. He extended greetings and good wishes to all leaders, workers, and supporters on the foundation day.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, in his lengthy message shared on the social media platform 'X', said that "the establishment of the RJD on July 5, 1997, was aimed at protecting the rights of the poor, oppressed, backward classes, dalits, and minorities, and strengthening the ideology of social justice." Along with this, he said that in the past 30 years, the party has faced many political challenges, but it has never compromised on its basic principles and public interest issues.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav wrote on 'X' that "the party is committed to the politics of social justice, equality, employment, and overall development." He emphasized that "strengthening democratic institutions and the constitutional system in the country is the need of the hour."

In his message, Lalu Prasad Yadav also targeted the BJP. He alleged that "there is a misuse of constitutional institutions and an attempt to weaken democratic values. At such a time, all democratic forces should unite to raise their voice for social justice and protection of the Constitution."

Lalu Prasad Yadav also wrote in his post that "the RJD is not just a political party that contests elections, but a people's movement that fights for the rights, powers, and dignity of the people." He stated that "this ideology has been the party's greatest strength and will continue to work in the same direction in the future."

It is worth mentioning that on the occasion of the foundation day, various programs are being organized by the RJD in all districts of Bihar today. The 30th foundation day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm through flag hoisting at party offices, workers' meetings, honor ceremonies, and social programs.
