Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Choudhary inaugurated the grand finale program of "Bhojpuri Bawal" today by lighting a candle at Gyan Bhavan in Samrat Ashok Convention Center Complex. The chief minister was welcomed in the ceremony by presenting a shawl and momento.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great joy to organize a program like "Bhojpuri Boal" by Jio Hotstar and Colors on the soil of Bihar. My congratulations and best wishes to the entire team. Bihar has changed, and people associated with the film industry are welcome in Bihar. The government will provide all possible support to the artists and producers involved in film production.
The Chief Minister said that Bihar is the land that gave India its golden age about 2000 years ago. Universities like Nalanda and Vikramsheela have spread the light of knowledge across the world. Historically, Pataliputra has been an important center of power and culture in India. The rich civilization, culture and heritage of Bihar needs to be shown in a positive way to the world. The government has approved the shooting of 54 films in Bihar. Actor Sunil Shetty has also expressed his desire to shoot the film in Bihar from October. Encourage film making in Bhojpuri as well as Angika, Maghi, Bajjika, and Maithili languages. The government will fully cooperate.
The Chief Minister said that continuous efforts are being made to promote eco-tourism and tourism in Bihar. Tourism is presenting a beautiful picture of Bihar's natural beauty, historical places and cultural heritage to the public. There is a need to move from computer to creator and audience to investor. Mentioning the talent of the youth of Bihar, he said that they consistently perform well in the prestigious competitive examinations of the country. The government has set up 700 model schools where the emphasis is on providing quality education. Arrangements are being made to provide online support to teachers in case of any problem in students' studies.
The Chief Minister said that establishing the civilization and culture of Bihar at the global level should be the priority of all of us along with the government. There is a need to show the positive aspects of Bihar through movies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a developed India and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's vision for a prosperous Bihar must be fulfilled. Electricity subsidy is being provided to everyone from rich to poor in Bihar. Work is also underway to develop modern transportation facilities such as roads, metro stations and high-speed rail. Better road connectivity has made traveling from Patna to cities like Gaya, Begusarai and Muzaffarpur easier than ever.
The Chief Minister requested the Bhojpuri film artists to jointly identify a suitable location for the film city in Bihar, the film city will be constructed. Children of Bihar have the potential to work in various fields related to actors, directors, writers, musicians and film production. The government is committed to provide them better opportunities and necessary facilities.
