Ganges still above danger mark at many places, Patna embankments safe

According to the report of the flood control room located at Ganga-Son Flood Protection Division, Digha at 6 am on Tuesday, despite the water level of Ganga in Bihar capital Patna and its surrounding areas being above the danger mark at many places, all the related embankments including the Patna urban protection wall are safe. According to the official report, the water level of the Ganga in Munir was recorded at 53.40 meters, which is 1.40 meters above the danger mark of 52 meters. At Digha Ghat in Patna, the Ganga flows at 50.54 m. The water level at Gandhi Ghat was recorded at 50.31 m, which is below the danger mark of 50.58 m. In Hatida, the water level of the Ganga was recorded at 43.41 m, which is 1.65 m above the danger mark of 41.76 m. In Mangir too, the Ganga is flowing at 40.08 m, which is 0.75 m above the danger mark of 39.33 m. On the other hand, the water level of the Ganga in Buxar stood at 60.12 m, which is 0.20 m below the danger mark. Apart from the Ganga, the Punpun river is also above the danger mark at some places. At Kanjar in Arul district, its water level was recorded at 65.67 m, which is 0.67 m above the danger mark of 65 m. At Sripalpur in Patna district, Panpan is flowing at 53.55 meters, while the danger mark is 50.60 meters. Here the river is 2.95 meters above the danger mark. The water level of Son River is currently below the danger mark. Gold was recorded at 102.90 m in Andarpuri, 53.88 m in Koilur and 94.06 m in Pal Mirganj. The water level at these three places is below the respective danger mark.
