Iran has sent warning messages to various Gulf capitals, threatening to plunge the Gulf countries into darkness in the event of a US attack. According to details, Iran has warned that if the US targets its power plants and energy facilities, it will retaliate by targeting the basic power infrastructure of the Gulf countries.
Foreign media reports, citing two Gulf officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Iran has sent a message to various Gulf capitals that the region's power grid and critical infrastructure could be targeted in the event of a US attack. However, Iran has not issued an official statement in this regard.
A regional official also confirmed that such warning messages had been sent to various Gulf countries. Iran has reportedly provided a list of key installations and targets that could be targeted in a retaliatory attack, but the details of these targets have not been disclosed.
News agency AFP reports that the Gulf countries are concerned after receiving these alleged warning messages, as their economies, oil exports, water treatment plants, communication systems, and other critical services rely on modern power infrastructure. However, neither the US nor Iran has officially responded to or confirmed these threats.
Professor Robert Pape of the University of Chicago said that President Donald Trump has become entangled in the "most dangerous military trap in history" with Iran. In an interview with Arab media, Professor Pape said that while US airstrikes and naval attacks may have brought Trump temporary military victories, he will not achieve any of his major objectives by engaging in this war.
He added that Iran has emerged stronger after the war. According to Professor Pape, President Trump now has only two options: either acknowledge Iran's growing influence or escalate the war. He warned that after the limited effectiveness of air and naval power becomes apparent, Trump may also opt for ground action to achieve a symbolic victory before the midterm elections.
US President Trump, speaking to journalists about global and US energy prices, said he believes the war with Iran will end soon. Trump stated, "I don't think the Iranians can continue this war for much longer." He added that negotiations with Iran are ongoing, the war will end soon, and the Strait of Hormuz will be opened.
Additionally, Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he is extremely pleased with the performance of Defense Secretary Pat Hegsyith. Trump defended the ongoing war with Iran, saying that everything has been "extraordinary," Iran has been severely damaged to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons, and "everything is going very well."
Meanwhile, Iran is currently negotiating with Oman, where both parties are reportedly close to reaching an agreement on the safe passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iran has repeatedly clarified that it is not currently in direct talks with the US for a permanent end to the war.
Speaking to journalists at the Oval Office, President Trump claimed that Iran has suffered the most severe damage in this war and is no longer capable of waging a long war. Trump reiterated that "Iran will never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons." He assured the public that once the war ends, gas prices will decrease, and citizens will soon see a reduction in gas prices.
The US President acknowledged that the US military is facing difficulties in accessing certain types of weapons and that the quantity of some weapons is limited. However, he said that the overall stockpile of modern weaponry is unlimited. On this occasion, President Trump also praised the performance and defense strategy of US Defense Secretary Pat Hegsyith, openly appreciating his services.
