Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday appealed to members of Parliament from both the opposition and the ruling side to work together in the interest of the country, saying that if there is passion and reasoning in issues, even a peaceful demand can become a loud voice. Mr. Modi said, while addressing the media on the first day of the Monsoon session, that India is a country full of young people with hopes and aspirations, and the youth want us to move forward. He emphasized the need for the voice of the nation to be given space in Parliament and for the country to be shown direction, saying that there is no need to create a storm for a reasoned argument. Referring to the presence of highly experienced members in Parliament, Mr. Modi said, "The demand of the youth of the country full of aspirations is that we move forward. Today, the need of the hour is that the voice of the people, full of loyalty and patriotism towards the country, should get a proper platform in the House. They should raise their voice, give direction to the country, and that's why I hope, and I am confident, that where there are facts, where there are reasons, there is no place for a storm. If the argument is strong, if the truth is strong, then even a peaceful voice can be made loud." Mr. Modi said that there are many experienced members of Parliament, belonging to any party, but they have a long experience. At such a time, their experience and knowledge are also needed by Parliament, and the country. And for this, the functioning of Parliament, meaningful discussions, and the determination to take the country forward together, I think is the need of the hour. The Prime Minister, in his address, highlighted the global concern due to wars and tensions in various regions. He said that due to the war in West Asia, a huge crisis has been created for countries like India, which are dependent on imports for oil and gas needs. There have been many obstacles in the supply of petrol, diesel, LPG, fertilizers, and chemicals. Nevertheless, India has become the world's fastest-growing major economy, with a growth rate of 7.7 percent. He said that the country wants to cross new heights with enthusiasm and excitement. The country has gained momentum, and a positive atmosphere in Parliament can bring new energy to this speed. A positive attitude is very important for achieving the country's goals. Mr. Modi said, "I hope that the discussion in the House will be filled with reasoning and facts. Every voice should get an opportunity, every ideology should get respect, this is our role in Parliament. I invite all members of Parliament to participate enthusiastically in the proceedings of this House." The Prime Minister, on the first day of the Monsoon session, echoed the words of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who had said on social media that he welcomes the members of Parliament. Mr. Modi expressed hope that like the monsoon, the Monsoon session of Parliament will also be active and productive, and if both are active, it will be beneficial for the country. He expressed deep pride in the country's growing global stature, referring to the extraordinary national and international achievements in the last one month. He recalled the recent historic achievement of a private space startup 'Skyroot' and praised the incredible fact that the country has been successfully taken to a new era of private space research by a team with an average age of just 28 years. Mr. Modi emphasized that these achievements greatly enhance national confidence. He said, "The startups run by our youth have firmly planted the flag of India in space, which has made the image of our country clear on the global stage." The Prime Minister described these technical achievements as an indication of the nation's limitless potential, announcing that the capabilities of the current generation are fully limitless. He said that these historic achievements are an inspiration for the entire country. He said, "This is a strong message that the capabilities and aspirations of our youth are as limitless as space." The Prime Minister, while tracing the basic reasons for these extraordinary business achievements, credited the government's rapid and revolutionary policy changes. Mr. Modi said, "The country has today moved swiftly on the path of reforms, which is the result that our youth are showing so much courage and are being successful." He mentioned several initiatives in the fields of infrastructure and technology, including the recent launch of a major oil refinery in Rajasthan, the country's third semiconductor plant, and the world's longest and most powerful green hydrogen train. He credited the collective dedication and tireless hard work of the country's capable scientists, engineers, and workers for these modern national assets.
