Patna (ABN) Minister of Agriculture Vijay Kumar Sinha formally took charge of his office at Vikas Bhawan. After taking charge, he reiterated his commitment to serving the farmers of Bihar and empowering the agricultural sector. He clarified that, in light of the experiences of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the guidance of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, measures will be taken with full dedication and determination to improve the standard of living of rural families in Bihar. Sharing the vision of the NDA government, the Agriculture Minister said that his priority is to increase the income of farmers and expand the modern agricultural system in the state. The government will pay special attention to improving irrigation facilities, ensuring the availability of better seeds, and incorporating new technologies into farming. Furthermore, market links will be strengthened to ensure fair prices for farmers' produce. Vijay Kumar Sinha emphasized that the ultimate goal of his government is to make every farmer in Bihar self-reliant, prosperous, and empowered. He said that agriculture is the backbone of Bihar's economy, so a transparent system will be developed by linking technology to the market. The department will soon review new schemes and pending projects and start working on their speedy implementation. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the public and well-wishers, saying that with everyone's cooperation, love, and blessings, he will make every possible effort to live up to the trust of the people of Bihar. After taking charge, he held an introductory meeting with departmental officials and discussed the future course of action.
