Iran's military has launched new drone attacks on key Israeli sites, including fuel and maritime facilities in the city of Haifa. This news was reported by Press TV on Friday.
According to reports, Iran is attacking Israeli territories and US military targets in the Middle East in response to a joint military operation launched by the US, Israel, and Iran on February 28. On the first day of the operation, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed, and a girls' school in southern Iran was also bombed, resulting in over 1,200 deaths, according to Iranian sources.
The recent tensions between Iran and the US have taken a new turn after Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf responded sarcastically and strongly to the presence of US troops in the region. He claimed that US troops are forced to take shelter in civilian areas because they are not safe in their own bases.
On the social media platform 'X' (Twitter), Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated, while rejecting reports of US ground operations, "How can the US protect its troops on our soil when it cannot even keep them safe in their own bases and is forced to hide them in hotels and parks?"
This statement comes after reports that Washington is considering various options for a ground operation against Iran. Although US officials have not confirmed any planned attack or occupation, they have not entirely ruled out the possibility of deploying troops to Iranian soil.
In this context, Iran's Revolutionary Guards have issued an emergency directive for civilians in the region, ordering them to immediately leave areas where US forces are present. The Iranian Guards claim that US and Israeli forces are trying to use civilian areas as a "human shield" to avoid potential Iranian attacks.
US officials have made a startling claim that China's largest semiconductor company has provided Iranian forces with advanced chip-making equipment and technology. This revelation has raised concerns about further escalation of existing tensions between Washington and Beijing.
According to foreign media reports, two senior officials from the Trump administration, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the equipment was transferred to Iran about a year ago, and the cooperation is still ongoing. The deal includes not only the supply of equipment but also technical training for Iranian personnel in semiconductor technology, which could be the backbone of Iran's military-industrial complex.
The report expresses concern that if the equipment is found to be of US origin, it would be a direct violation of US sanctions. The Chinese company in question was added to the US trade blacklist in 2020, but the company has consistently denied allegations of having ties to the Chinese or any foreign military system.
As the US tries to limit China's semiconductor capabilities, Iran's oil revenue has reached $139 million per day, indicating Iran's growing economic and defensive influence.
So far, no official statement has been released by the Chinese embassy, Iranian mission, or the company in question regarding these allegations. However, the Chinese government's general stance has been that it maintains normal trade activities with Iran and does not support any side in Middle Eastern conflicts.
After Iran's attacks on the United Arab Emirates, Emirati officials have demanded a permanent solution from the US, rather than just a ceasefire. The UAE has clarified that it needs a comprehensive and lasting solution to Iranian threats, not just a ceasefire. Emirati officials believe that a simple ceasefire is not enough for sustainable peace in the region; instead, long-term security arrangements and control over Iranian missiles and drones, as well as a permanent solution for the Strait of Hormuz, are necessary.
In this regard, the Emirati minister met with US Vice President JD Vance the previous day. Anwar Gargash, advisor to the UAE president, has also taken a tough stance on Iranian attacks, stating that they will not be ignored.
The ongoing war between Iran and Israel has entered a new and dangerous phase. Iran's most powerful military force, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), has issued an emergency warning to civilians in the region, strictly forbidding them from approaching US military bases.
The statement released by the Iranian Guards claims that US and Israeli forces are trying to use civilian areas as a "human shield" to avoid potential Iranian attacks. Civilians are warned to leave areas where US forces are present immediately for their own safety.
Despite diplomatic efforts, the US and Israel have continued their bombing campaign against Iran. Residential buildings in Qom and Urmia were targeted, resulting in several homes being reduced to rubble. The latest attacks have killed 10 more people, bringing the total death toll to 1,937, according to Iranian authorities.
Instead of remaining silent, Iran has launched its 83rd wave of retaliatory attacks against Israel, targeting the country with multi-warhead missiles and kamikaze drones. Large oil storage tanks and depots in the Israeli city of Ashdod have been targeted, with reports of widespread fires in the area.
