Patna: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar has expressed concern over the increasing crimes and murder incidents in the state, particularly the growing trend of crimes among young people, and has appealed to the government and society to pay attention to this issue.
After a joint delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar, and APCR met with the family of the slain Nawaz Alam in Patna's Lal Bagh, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar's Amir Halqa, Maulana Rizwan Ahmed Islahi, said in a press statement that several heinous incidents, including murder, have taken place in recent days, in which minors were involved or were the victims.
Amir Halqa termed this as a failure of the administration. Maulana Rizwan Ahmed Islahi said that the news coming out about the said murder is highly disturbing. The accused boy had been harassing the minor niece of the deceased for several months. When the girl's guardian objected, the boy entered the girl's house in a planned manner and killed her uncle.
During this, he attacked the girl's aunt with a knife, injuring her severely, and she is still undergoing treatment. Amir Halqa appealed to all guardians to build trust among their children, especially those who are studying, so that if something happens to them outside, they can inform their parents, which can help control the situation.
There is a need to educate the new generation, promote social values, and instill the fear of God in them. Amir Halqa expressed satisfaction that the police have arrested the main accused and his accomplice and sent them to remand home. However, he said that the deceased, Nawaz, was the sole breadwinner of his family, and now his widow and two-year-old daughter are facing a livelihood crisis.
In such a situation, the state government should provide adequate compensation to his widow so that she and the orphaned daughter can be supported, and the government should take full responsibility for the education and well-being of the orphaned girl. Those who met the family of the deceased Nawaz included Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar's Secretary Zia-ul-Qamar, Shoqat Ali, Mohammad Anwar, and from APCR, Advocate Majid Mahboob Khan, Advocate Shahid Akhtar, and Advocate Shahzad Rashid.
