Maulana Syed Shah Shamimuddin Ahmed Munami said these things while presiding over the tribute meeting organized by Urdu Media Forum. He said that Maulana Baqir was not prosecuted nor appeared in court, he was martyred by standing in front of a cannon. He said that after the British failed to suppress the Indians for a long time, Shia Sunnis wanted to divide them by inciting differences, but Maulana Baqir fought hard to thwart this conspiracy and for Shia-Sunni unity. Despite belonging to the Shia family, his struggle became a symbol of national and national unity beyond religious differences. Maulana Muhammad Baqir's greatest characteristic was that he declared open rebellion against the British government and made his pen the voice of public resistance. He did not limit journalism to the mere publication of news but made it a means of intellectual struggle against slavery. This newspaper gave a regular direction to Urdu journalism in Delhi and North India. Articles on political, social, educational and literary topics were published in the newspaper. During the rebellion of 1857, Maulana Baqir interpreted the situation and public sentiments against British rule through his newspaper. For this reason, he is counted among the first journalists of Urdu journalism who made journalism not just for reporting but a means of creating political and social awareness. His martyrdom also gave the honor of his family a unique place in history. At a time when raising voice against British rule was extremely dangerous, Maulana Baqir did not compromise his principles. His sacrifice is a sign that a family's academic tradition of journalistic integrity and truthfulness can lead to honor and courage for future generations. Maulana Baqir's family was associated with the academic and literary environment of Delhi. His son Maulana Muhammad Hussain Azad became a well-known writer and researcher of Urdu literature. In this way, the family continued to serve the Urdu language and civilization through their services in the fields of journalism, education and literature. Maulana Baqir's sacrifice is not just the martyrdom of a journalist, but a bright example of independence, national consciousness and truthfulness of Urdu journalism, which gave his family a place of honor and respect in history. General Secretary of Urdu Media Forum and famous journalist Dr. Rehan Ghani while highlighting the purpose and goal of Urdu Media Forum said that Urdu Media Forum was established to celebrate two hundred years of journalism but we could not succeed in it. He said that it is important that Hindi journalism could not be celebrated the way it should be on its two hundred years. There is no need to be disappointed, the land of Azimabad is very rich, there are no such movements in other states as much as in the coming time, we will definitely try our best to do it on a large scale. There, journalist Javed Akhtar said in his address that Maulana Baqir fought against the British government with his chest high and tried his best to unite the society against the British with the power of his pen. Journalist Anwar Al-Huda said that Maulana Baqir published a newspaper in unfavorable circumstances and from this newspaper he came to the field of full force against the British government and he was martyred for writing the truth. Dr. Tauqeer, President of the Department of Urdu, Maulana Mazhar-ul-Haq Arabic and Persian University, said that there is a need to learn lessons from the journalistic life of Maulana Baqir. He said that Maulana has done the work of sword through pen. Asfarfaridi, the bureau chief of Roznama Inqlab, said that Maulana Baqir was the owner and manager of the newspaper and the owners of the newspaper should follow his path. Dr. Abdul Basit Hamidi, President of Urdu Patna University, said that the sacrifices of Maulana Baqir should always be remembered. Urdu journalism also needs to be brought to the mainstream media, the bright history of journalism should be adopted and work should be done unitedly. On this occasion, Professor Syed Shah Hussain Ahmad, professor of Khanqah Shah Arzani, said that the living nations remember their heroes. The work done by our forefathers to save the country is unforgettable. Journalism is worship or trade. Maulana Baqir considered journalism as worship. Maulana has authored many books.
