Patna: (ABN) In the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'Samriddhi Yatra' (Journey of Prosperity) at Bapu Sabhagar in the state capital, a public dialogue program was held today, where BJP National President Nityanand Rai, who attended the event specially, praised the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He said that Nitish Kumar has taken Bihar out of the era of despair, giving birth to new confidence and a sense of development.
Addressing the public gathering, Nityanand Rai remarked that through this 'Samriddhi Yatra', the Chief Minister has promoted an atmosphere of a festival of development throughout Bihar. He emphasized that Bihar is now ready to move forward continuously in this positive environment of development. Speaking emotionally, he noted that as an MLA, he has learned a lot from the Chief Minister and is determined to further accelerate Bihar's development in the future with the support of the central government.
Comparing Bihar before and after 2005, Nityanand Rai observed that the Chief Minister has created a "culture of performance" within the state. He said, "There was a time when even thinking about electricity in one's home was a difficult task, but today, thanks to Nitish Kumar's efforts, the 'era of lanterns' has ended, and electricity - along with LED lighting - has reached every home."
Discussing infrastructure, he noted that Bihar's roads are now writing a new story of development - a policy model that other states are starting to adopt. Praising the harmony between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the BJP president emphasized that the "double-engine government" has changed the face of Bihar. He pointed out that in the past, there was only one bridge over the Ganges River. However, today, more than half a dozen bridges have effectively eliminated the gap between North and South Bihar. Furthermore, the development of expressways and improved connectivity have made it significantly easier to reach the state capital from any corner of the region.
Addressing the issue of employment, Nityanand Rai praised the Chief Minister's unwavering determination. He highlighted that during the previous term, by providing employment opportunities to 50 lakh youths, the government has shown that the youth of Bihar are not just job seekers, but are becoming job creators. In this context, discussing the issues of women's safety and empowerment, he remarked that today, women are working outside their homes without fear, which was impossible during the 'jungle raj' era.
At the conclusion of the event, Nityanand Rai expressed confidence that although the 'Samriddhi Yatra' is formally coming to an end today, the NDA government will continue to work on the developmental roadmap that has been laid out, thus fulfilling the dream of a 'developed Bihar' by 2030, and expressed hope that the journey of prosperity will continue.
