In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's grand roadshow, unprecedented security arrangements have been put in place across the entire city of Patna today. Due to the program from Patna airport to Gandhi Maidan, major changes have been made in traffic management, causing significant inconvenience to the general public. From 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, a complete ban has been imposed on the movement of vehicles on several key routes. Strict barricading, including extensive blockades, has been set up in busy areas such as the airport, Bailey Road, Patel Golamber, Gardni Bagh, and Gandhi Maidan. The administration has appealed to passengers to leave their homes at least three hours in advance to reach the airport. Although emergency vehicles have been exempted from these restrictions, regular traffic has almost come to a standstill. Office-goers during morning hours have been the most affected. A traffic jam stretching approximately 1.5 kilometers has occurred on the Gaya route line road, while the number of vehicles is continuously increasing on the Karbigahiya ROB. Security checking is being carried out at various locations throughout the city. Police personnel have set up blockades at intersections and squares to thoroughly search people's bags and belongings. Individuals are only being allowed to proceed after these checks, resulting in long queues at several places. The movement of all types of vehicles has been banned on the road from Patna Junction to Dak Bungalow. Additionally, traffic has been completely halted in areas such as GPO, Kotwali, and Buddha Marg. Some limited routes have been diverted from the Dak Bungalow intersection, while entry into SP Verma Road from New Dak Bungalow has been blocked. The city has been specially decorated, with saffron-themed decorations, flags, and banners displayed at numerous locations. Special decorations at the Income Tax Golamber have given the environment a distinct political tone. On the other hand, however, clear signs of frustration and discontent are visible among the public, who are facing traffic jams and road closures. Many commuters say that such closures during office hours are disrupting daily life and that such events should have been held on holidays. Currently, the entire city is on high alert, and the administration is continuously monitoring the situation.
