Promote eco-tourism in PP model near water reservoirs: Chief Minister

Patna (ABN) Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary held a high-level review meeting on eco-tourism at Sankalp Auditorium, located on Marg 1, Lok Sevak Awas, today. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Anand Kishore, and Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, provided detailed information about the action plan and proposals of their respective departments regarding the promotion of eco-tourism. The Chief Minister directed that the state government's water resources be promoted with the PP model of ecotourism, where better tourist facilities are available. In this regard, talk to the people and take their advice as well. Prepare tourist packages soon, considering the convenience of tourists and encouraging them, so that tourists can enjoy them. This will strengthen the local economy and create employment opportunities. He said that the government's objective is to take the state's tourism sector forward. Other possible areas for tourism development should be worked on expeditiously. The state has immense potential for spiritual, cultural, and eco-tourism. The Chief Minister said that the state government's ponds and water resources should be afforested by the Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, and tourist facilities should be promoted. All wetlands should be identified in an organized manner and trees should be planted around them. This will increase the green cover in the state and also facilitate water conservation. The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary, Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Anand Kishore, Secretary of the Tourism Department, along with the Chief Minister's Secretary, Lokesh Kumar Singh, the Chief Minister's OSD, Gopal Singh, Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and other senior officials.
