Protest by India Unity in the Parliament House premises, criticism of government over action on students and use of pellet gun

Awaz E Bihar•30 July 2026 at 02:45 pm•3 views•2 min read

The Opposition India alliance staged a protest demonstration within the Parliament House premises on Thursday over the issue of question paper leaks, police action against students, and alleged use of pellet guns. During this, opposition members of parliament raised slogans and registered their protest by holding up large posters.

The protest was attended by several opposition members of parliament, including Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, K.C. Venugopal, Dharmendra Yadav, Sanjay Raut, and Kishor Lal Sharma. Opposition leaders raised slogans like "Chadava Chor Gadi Chhod" and held up a large poster that read "Order Kaun Diya".

Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal wrote on X that when will Home Minister Amit Shah answer the country. The Home Minister is absent from Parliament and opposition members of parliament are protesting at the gates of Parliament House. The opposition wants a clear answer as to who ordered the use of pellet guns on students and why Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi was stopped from speaking in the Lok Sabha.

Opposition members of parliament said that the police action against students and the use of pellet guns are serious incidents and the government should answer on this matter. The government is trying to suppress the voice of the students.
