Patna, August 22: Public welfare and welfare of farmers are top priorities of our government. Along with the prosperity of farmers, soil, water and environmental protection are also important. Organic farming not only improves soil fertility and health, but also helps reduce farming costs. Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed these views at the "Agricultural Welfare Dialogue" program in Gaya on Saturday. Through this program Mr. Sinha spoke directly to the farmers and got to know their problems, suggestions and expectations. Farmers presented various agricultural issues and suggestions to the Agriculture Minister. The Hon'ble Minister took the complaints seriously and directed the authorities concerned to ensure quick resolution and quick action of the complaints. Hon'ble Agriculture Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Sinha urged the farmers to adopt natural farming on at least one third of their total agricultural land. Widespread adoption of organic farming can make spring agriculture more sustainable, safe and profitable. During the ceremony, the farmers who performed outstandingly in the agricultural sector were honored. Honorable Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly Dr. Prem Kumar was also present in the inaugural session of Krishi Jan Kalyan Samwad. He emphasized on the widespread use of modern and new technology in the agricultural sector. He said that effective use of technology can increase agricultural production and productivity, increase farmers' income and make agriculture more profitable and sustainable. During the program, officers of the Agriculture Department provided detailed information to the farmers about various agricultural and farmer welfare schemes run by the department. He shared information about the objectives, eligibility and benefits available to farmers. More than 2000 farmers enthusiastically participated in the event. Apart from Member Assembly Mr. Romeet Kumar, senior officers of Agriculture Department were present.
